Functional Strength and Conditioning Class



Have organically grown from a hockey player to now working directly with players and fortunate to have gained experience at all levels.  From current NHLer’s to the minor league loops, the philosophies of Functional Strength and Conditioning will help all athletes prepare for the demands of our sport as well as mitigate the prospect for injury.  

When athletes have the capacity to absorb and transfer load, are aware of how to control their body in time and space and build resilience in their joints and tissues we optimize their athletic potential.

Incorporating Strength and Conditioning with Functional Mobility and Breathwork using Strength movements, Cardiovascular and Respiratory exercises, specific Mobility and Nervous System drills and teaching athletes to progressively maximize the capacity of their bodies. 

 

Post Camp GYM Workout


Participants can expect to begin and conclude classes with performance enhancement breathwork to first stimulate and then to down regulate the nervous system.  All functional strength and conditioning sessions will incorporate mobility specific drills focusing on similar areas of the body that will be tested and trained during the majority of class.  Based on the level of competence, athletes will be physically challenged in a safe environment with customized programming directly related to hockey and the development of the individuals.  Most classes will finish with a movement task, sometimes as individuals but more often as a group.
